In the latest issue of GOST magazine, the official publication of the Zagreb Hospitality Association, an article has been published offering insight into Monri’s technology and its role in modern hospitality. Below, we present the article from the November 2025 issue.
When you speak with Irena Turić from Monri Payments, a company specializing in cash register software and payment solutions, you quickly realize that behind the biggest domestic events, there is much more than music, good food, and cold drinks. There are people like her – and technology that has to withstand it all. Rain, crowds, peaks of 70,000 visitors, hundreds of taps, dozens of food zones.
“Throughout the year, we receive several calls daily, but when the season starts, it’s 20 to 30 calls just for rentals,” says Irena, Monri’s Customer Success Specialist and the voice you hear when you call Monri to rent cash registers. “Festivals, one-day events, beaches, ice cream, deck chairs, souvenir sales… they call us from all over.”

Monri has a solution for all these stories. Remaris catering cash registers for festivals and food courts, along with handheld terminals for waiters that are especially suitable for VIP zones. Start mobile cash registers with card payment for fast, on-the-go sales. Integration with Monri’s SinglePOS devices for secure and fast card processing. And what matters most to event organizers – a cash register that arrives fully prepared, with support from Monri’s technical and helpdesk team.
“The client sends us all the data, and the cash register arrives ready to operate. Price lists, operators, fiscal certificate, integration with the POS device… everything is already inside. Literally, just plug it in, and it works,” says Irena. During the season, 40–50 cash registers are handled by our technicians daily. We are the only ones in Croatia offering a complete solution – a fiscal cash register, internet, and POS integration. The client only needs electricity on-site,” explains Irena.
When it matters most: Flawless performance at the biggest events
This year, Monri handled the two biggest events in Croatia: the Thompson’s concert and Ultra. No delays, no system failures, no lines standing because ‘the cash register won’t work.’
For Irena, the Thompson concert wasn’t just another event on the calendar; it was the moment when all her work, all the procedures, and all the preparation of Monri’s teams reached a level that few in the industry experience. ‘We knew it would be huge, but until you step onto the field and see that wave of people, that pace… You realize how important it is for everything to work perfectly,’ Irena recalls, and the numbers speak for themselves: more than half a million visitors in one evening, over 1,100 electronic cash registers, three days of continuous operations – and not a single interruption.
